Track 4 - Turkey in the Straw

........MUSIC........
Here's the album with a change of pace. 23 songs including show tunes (Always and Alexander's Ragtime Band by Irving Berlin), Stephen Foster (I Dream of Jeannie) and songs from the 30's (Button Up Your Overcoat), 40's (We'll Meet Again) to the 50's (Allegheny Moon) are just examples of this imaginative collection of ballet class music. The perfect album to combat the blahs... Adults and children respond to this slice of American music.

"Popular Songs For the Ballet Class"
This DVD accompanies the album "A Great Collection Of Popular Songs" and contains a complete Ballet Class for intermediate level training. David Howard instructs four dancers from the David Howard Dance Center by clearly showing each combination of steps before the music starts and offering suggestions after the exercise is over. The dancers demonstrate the exercises in both directions at the Barre and all the combinations in the Center. Lynn Stanford has created arrangements of twenty-three familiar melodies to be used in the Ballet Class. The standard four-count introduction is combined with easy-to-follow rhythms and uplifting melodies. Each selection on the album is contained on this visual demonstration with some of the longer melodies for Center work fading out after the exercise has been performed several times. This DVD is a non-chaptered video stream in a clear unmarked case which shows the label of the disc. What's this?
