"Recorded in Russia"

Dmitri Roudnev has taken the music on his CD “Recorded in Russia” to the studio where Tatiana Samoylova, one of his fellow dancers, now teaches in Russia. The video is filmed at the Lediah Ballet School, an extension of the Bolshoi Academy, using three 14 year old students that will more than likely become members of the Bolshoi Ballet. The 40 different exercises and combinations cover barre and center work and there is also a bonus pointe-work section. The class is a Level 5 Vaganova Method intermediate ballet class as it is taught in Russia. Dmitri translates all the instructions and corrections given in the class so it is like taking a ballet class in Russia with your own translator to help you understand the teacher. Each exercise is first demonstrated and then performed in this do-along format DVD.
