This wonderful collection of original music is inspiring to dance to and easy to follow. Each exercise has at least two different compositions, so there is plenty of variety for any ballet class. Marina Surgan was born in Russia and in presently a pianist at Canada’s National Ballet School. She has composed music for the Cecchetti Grade Examinations as well as recording music for the Prix de Lausanne ballet competition. This is her original ‘Live’ music for any level of training.

"I just received this order - Marina Surgan - Live.  I have to say that this is absolutely the BEST CD for ballet class that I've yet to find. Every cut is a perfect tempo, executed exactly as they should be for a ballet class, and are very workable for beginner, intermediate or advanced.  The only thing that could make this CD better would be if the bar tracks were repeated for each side.  Can't say enough good things about this CD! And thank you for having one of the better websites for finding ballet music!"
