variety of educational, artistic and theatrical endeavors throughout
the world Ms. Bogush’s
work as creative
consultant/choreographer (2001-2010) on Nickelodeon’s hit
series, “The Backyardigans” has
earned her a 2008 Emmy recognition
award. Her unique understanding of
movement and choreography for live action dance coupled with her
expertise in
Motion Capture, 3D animation, and Green Screen Technology has recently
been
highlighted in a The New York Times
Sunday Magazine article (August 2009) “Dancing
With the Paws”. The article
highlights the “richly
detailed and often gorgeous moves”
created by Beth in each episode enables “The
Backyardigans” to achieve “artistic
exactitude”. Earlier reviews of “The
Backyardigans” from The New York
Times have hailed Ms. Bogush’s work as “groundbreaking choreography”. Ms. Bogush
recently produced
and directed the choreography of Nick Jr.’s
Dora and the Explorer Girls (2010) and also serves as a creative
consultant/choreographer on other Nick Jr. hits
including Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, Team
Umizommie and Nick
Jr.’s newest hit Bubble Guppies
(2011). Beth has
recently joined the (2009-2010) PBS /Hit Entertainment
animated
series Angelina the Ballerina as lead dance
consultant/choreographer and has created an
extensive overall dance syllabus for the show’s animators, writers and

Bogush was the coordinator and director of The Ailey School
workshops and

knowledge of music genres, dance and movement has resulted in her
becoming one
of the leading and most versatile dance/movement consultants in the
entertainment industry. In the Backyardigans series
alone, Ms. Bogush’s highly
stylized choreography extends to over 80
different music and dance genres.
Ms. Bogush’s broad based dance, directorial
and choreography experience ranges from pre-school through professional
dance. Ms. Bogush also produced two best
selling children’s music and dance CD’s “Tots
on Parade” and “Pas de Tot” both
have been on the best sellers list for
over 5 years. Whether in front of the
camera as a professional dancer or behind the scenes as a
director/choreographer her professionalism and likability in the
industry has
led many producers requesting Beth for their projects. Articles
and reviews of Ms. Bogush’s work have appeared in
the New York Times, The Hollywood Reporter, Parents Magazine,
Entertainment Weekly, Nick Jr. Magazine, Dance Magazine, and Dance
Teacher Magazine (Cover, October 2005). |
