Performance/Company Affiliations: Boston Ballet Company, Harkness Ballet Company Teaching Experience: Presently teaching ABT Company, Advanced Intermediate Pro Ballet at Steps on Broadway, Permanent Guest teacher: Staatballe H - Berlin, under direction of Vladamir Malakhov. Nancy Bielski studied at the School of American Ballet in New York and the Royal Ballet School in London. As a dancer, she performed with the Cincinnati Ballet, The Boston Ballet, and The Harkness Ballet in New York City and presently teaches at Steps on Broadway and company classes for American Ballet Theater. Nancy has created a CD and video series for ballet class with music by Lynn Stanford and Doublas Corbin for Bodarc Productions. Class Description: An advanced ballet class that includes a 40 minute barre followed by center work. Center work has an adagio, 2 pirouette combinations, small and large jumps. Class is based on musicality and speed. Ballet Slippers are required and most women wear pointe shoes. The class starts slowly and builds up in speed and technical demands. It is a classical ballet class based on 5th position. |
