As a former member of the
American Ballet Theatre, Ms. Keating has toured the
world dancing the great classic and contemporary
ballets. She also appeared with the New York Opera
Festival, TV/Bell Telephone Hour with ABT and the New
York Ballet Club’s Choreographers’ Guild. Ms. Keating
trained as a scholarship student at the American Ballet Theatre School and graduated from
the High
School of Performing Arts
with the highest awards in dance. Mrs Keating founded
The Children’s Ballet Workshop in 1973 and soon after
the Children’s Repertory Ballet Company. She began her
affiliation with Boston Ballet in 1987 when she became
a principal teacher at Boston Ballet’s Children’s
Summer Workshop located at Wheaton College. In
1993, Ms. Keating merged the Children’s Ballet
Workshop (with an enrollment of 400 students) with the
Boston
Ballet School. She
became Principal of BBS South Shore school. After she
relocated to Florida, she
co-founded the Mount Dora School of Ballet. After 10
wonderful years, she decided to return to Massachusetts
for family. Mrs Keating was recognized in Dance
Magazine’s Great American Teachers Series and was
awarded a Certificate of Recognition from the National
Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts. Throughout
her career, Mrs Keating has guest taught at Ballet
Adriatico (Italy)
under the direction of Anna-Marie Holmes, Ballet
Arizona, Orlando Ballet Company Class and others.
