Nina Vacketta Pinzarrone

    Company Pianist (1992-present) and music instructor (2007-present) at the San Francisco Ballet Association, Ms. Pinzarrone trained as a concert pianist, and was drawn into the dance world in 1973 when she began accompanying at the National Academy of Dance in Champaign, Illinois. In 1974, she moved to Toronto, Canada, joining the music staff of the National Ballet School for 18 years as an accompanist and music instructor. As a seminar leader she has given frequent workshops for dance accompanists, students and teachers in Canada and the United States including the 2006 Cecchetti USA summer seminar and 2008 Cecchetti International Classical Ballet Summer Course and Competition in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

    Since 1998 she has released five CD’s under the Dancing Notes Label, Music for Ballet Class, produced in collaboration with Anthony Randazzo, ballet master at Boston Ballet, Nina and Glenn Together Again, with Glenn Gilmour, National Ballet School of Canada instructor and Cecchetti Examiner , Dances For Recitals and Exams, a collection of thirty short dances, Ballet Classics For Ballet Class, with Henry Berg, Director of The Ballet Studio in San Francisco and County Fair, also with Mr. Berg. In addition she has recorded two CD’s, Grade Three Cecchetti Syllabus and Grade Four Cecchetti Syllabus for the Cecchetti Council of America.
