It is vital for dancers at all
ages and all levels to be exposed to and inspired
by beautiful music; especially in ballet class.
Quality and variety is the key, which is why I
have provided a number of choices for many
exercises. The occasional use of orchestral
instruments also adds a little spice to the class
music atmosphere, whether it be gentle string
accompaniment in adage work, or more colourful, if
not humorous treatment (eg 2nd version of Wedding
Day at Troldhaugen). Most selections are
4 phrases long.
