Direct from Russia and the Vaganova Choreographic School, this is a double length compact disc with 29 repeated solo piano melodies created for a complete ballet class.  Elena Balyakhova is a pianist from this famous school in Russia, and this is the music used for the Vaganova method of teaching. This CD offers a collection of original and classical music without singing or vocal instructions.The 29 repeated solo piano melodies on this CD follow the order of one of the lessons found in the book  "100 Lessons in Classical Ballet" by Vera S. Kostrovitskaya.

This intermediate ballet class is taken from lessons devised by Agrippina Vaganova for teaching classical ballet. This method of teaching ballet has created great Russian dancers and is used all over the world. Two professional dancers demonstrate both sides at the barre and all the movements in the center during this DVD.
