This title is what you are looking for in a change of pace in the
ballet classroom. Sylvain Durand has inserted lots of jazz
music into this 76 minute compact disc. Designed for a complete ballet
class by Laurent Queval, each barre exercise has two different
compositions and the center has several selections for turns and jumps.
The thirty nine big sounding improvisations are occasionally
accompanied by percussion or accordian and at times Sylvain gets
carried away and bangs on the piano. There is great energy in his
playing which is very exciting to dance to. This title is not for the
'faint at
heart' but perfect to liven things up. |
