Ballet Class Music 4 CD - Andrey Klemm (AK009C)

During the Covid19 virus pandemic, this ballet class was taken in many different settings all around the world. Many were taken in dancers’ kitchens and living rooms while following teachers and musicians in zoom meetings. During the summer of 2020, when the weather was warm, many dancers took ballet class outdoors where there would be less of a chance of spreading the virus. At the Paris Opera three dancers joined ballet master, Andrey Klemm, on a bridge over the river Seine in Paris. You could not ask for a more enchanting location for a ballet class which is captured on you tube for the world to see. The video is designed for an ‘at home class’ with mostly Barre exercises and a few center exercises that do not travel. This CD contains all the music in the video with additional track for more traveling center exercises and pointe work. Pianist Louis Lancien has captured the beauty of this moment on the bridge in his sensitive playing of these opera and classical melodies. The music on Le cours d’apres (the next lesson) gives the inspiration that is so needed to train during this difficult time.
