Doug Schultz presents the music he plays for company
class in New York City. Twenty five repeated selections
from famous ballets as well as familiar melodies are
mixed with original compositions in this extended length
compact disc. This solo piano music is extra long for
several groups in the center or repeated exercises at
the barre.
Douglas Schultz has been playing ballet class in New
York City since 1980. A former Company Pianist for the
Joffrey Ballet and frequent class and rehearsal
pianist for American Ballet Theatre, he has also
served as guest Company Pianist for Dance Theatre of
Harlem. He has been on the staff of The Alvin Alley
School and The David Howard Dance Center, among
others, and has frequently played Company Class for
The Feld Ballet, and can currently be heard at Ballet
Academy East, Ballet Arts, and at Steps on Broadway.
