Ragtime, polonaise, blues, and many more styles of music are sprinkled throughout this great collection of original music for the ballet class. In keeping with the style of earlier titles in the series, this CD is a combination of Doug Gurwell’s masterful compositions and Yoshi Gurwell’s precise playing on the piano. Each track starts with the usual four count introduction, contains an even number of measures and is very easy to follow. The tracks are not repeated however, each exercise has several pieces designed for it so it is like getting two or three CDs in one. The adagio at the barre is composed and played by Doug so now you can hear the composer presenting his own music. This volume is a wonderful addition to this series of CDs for Ballet Class.
