Each selection on this extend length compact disc is composed by Ludwig Minkus and come from several famous ballets like Don Quixote, La Bayadere and Piquita. The twenty five repeated tracks of solo piano music are designed for a complete barre and center with four count introductions and an even number of measures. Douglas Schultz has been playing ballet class in New
York City since 1980. A former Company Pianist for the
Joffrey Ballet and frequent class and rehearsal
pianist for American Ballet Theatre, he has also
served as guest Company Pianist for Dance Theatre of
Harlem. He has been on the staff of The Alvin Alley
School and The David Howard Dance Center, among
others, and has frequently played Company Class for
The Feld Ballet, and can currently be heard at Ballet
Academy East, Ballet Arts, and at Steps on Broadway. |
