Another fun
preballet class by Gayle Corkery. The music on this
CD is very simple and easy to follow with many long
tracks for traveling steps and imaginative
movements. The first half of the CD is for a simple
preballet class with repeated tracks. The last half
of the CD is devoted to an imaginative adventure in
a garden. The music is perfect for any level of
study and can easily be used in a regular ballet
class. Some of the melodies introduce a more
contemporary or less traditional sound which makes
the dancers listen carefully to the music.

Visual Notes to In this DVD
adventure into a garden, several of Gayle
Corkery’s young dancers enjoy playing with several
different props and imitating the movements of
animals found in their make-believe garden. The
class starts with a warm-up of stretches on the
floor, then moves to the barre and center where
ballet steps are introduced. The kids finally
venture into the garden by climbing ladders and
dancing in the rain. In the garden they dance with
many different animals ending with a beautiful
Port de Bras.
