........MUSIC........
In "Tap With A Twist", Judy Ann Bassing and Steven Mitchell combine their originality and their deep understanding of tap to create sparkling new rhythms for tap dancers. Dancers can keep things simple or create virtuoso displays using these solo piano melodies. This album does not contain vocal instruction or tap sounds.

These fifteen original and familiar melodies performed by Steven Mitchell offer a collection of quick and tricky rhythms. For example, "Silver Lining" starts gentle and grows quicker and more outgoing, developing into a mini-production number in 2 and 1/2 minutes. "Five to Four" contains measures in five & four count while "Billy-A-Dick" and "Crazy Rhythm" are performed in a brisk style.

"Tap With A Twist"
Judy Ann Bassing presents a tap class to selections from the album, "Tap With A Twist". This visual demonstration begins with a combination of shuffle exercises which follow the exact rhythm patterns of the music. A complete combination is performed by Judy at the end. This video is a perfect example of how to use this music to teach tap dance.
One of Judy Ann Bassing's top students demonstrates how basic tap exercises can become complex & advanced. Each exercise uses several steps showing many variations of each movement. "Rhythm Patterns" demonstrates how the same basic steps are danced with a variety of different rhythms. "Five To Four" shows how to tap dance to a constantly changing count per measure "Never Moody Judy" offers Ms. Bassing dancing a complete combination, and "Crazy Rhythm" is a wild progression of turns and fast foot-work. This is an advanced tap class for students needing a challenge. This DVD is a non-chaptered video stream in a clear unmarked case which shows the label of the disc.  What's this?
